Board of Natural Disasters (BoND)

In keeping with our solution Based approach to policy and in keeping with our Ethos we have developed a solution to the continuing issue of Natural disasters and contamination threats, locally and from abroad.

As Natural Disasters do not recognise lines drawn on a Map it is our Policy to create a board that is responsible for the planning, management and co-ordination at a National Level to oversee all Natural Disasters. 

The BoND will be independent of Parliament and will NOT have a political Bias.

BoND will consult with the Board of Infrastructure and the Reserve Bank Board to ensure that we have the assets, infrastructure and human resources to deal with the ever increasing impact of natural disasters, regardless of where they occur in Australia.

BoND will work in conjunction with Federal, State and Local Authorities as well as the military to ensure that all stakeholders comply with and actively plan disaster assistance processes.

BoND will also be responsible for monitoring any pandemic global/local outbreaks and have the power to restrict entry to or exit from Australia as deemed necessary by the Board.

The aim is to bring a centralised, consistent approach to Natural Disasters with one body being responsible and accountable for disaster management and relief.

The Australian Public are not concerned about who’s jurisdiction it is, they simply want someone to take responsibility to effectively manage our resources in times of Natural Disasters

We cannot stop Climate Change but we can effectively manage the impact to our changing environment given the resources that we have available in this country.
