No politician can claim to have a Policy that will stop the Global Climate from Changing.
That is why the BPA does not have a Climate Change Policy!
However
We do have positive Policies and ideas that are designed to deal with and manage, the impacts of Climate Change in a sensible, sustainable and reasonable manner.
We are not deniers, the planet is warming, nor do we believe that the Human race is not contributing to the problem. Yes we are. There are 7.7 Billion people on this planet and every single one of them is both directly and indirectly contributing to the problem.
Transitioning to Renewables is vitally important as there are tremendous economic and social benefits by adopting this technology, (not to mention the reduction in conflict) however we cannot leap frog technology and it still may be several decades (maybe centuries) before full transition can happen but it will happen.
We are excited about the future, but also recognise that there are huge challenges ahead of us that must be resolved.
Unlike all other species, humans are extremely innovative, therefore we will develop technologies that will mitigate, if not effectively eliminate the impacts of Global Warming or indeed Global Cooling, as the scenario of Global Cooling has far worst implications than Global Warming.
There are no short term answers, and there is no point setting arbitrary time scales in an effort to win over voters, it is simply dishonest to do so.
Like all transitions we just have to be patient, stay focused and not be distracted by popularised "idols" that draw disproportionate but polarised attention to an issue that transcends the whole of society and everyone's ability to prosper and be occupied.
